Hand Drumming 630pm Montclair

Service Description

Learn the rhythms of the middle east and how to play them on the drum. We have a few extra drums to share if you need one otherwise please bring your own. Class is Monday October 28th at 630pm. Place: Montclair Community Center Lots of free parking available, classroom is on the main floor. This workshop is from 6:30pm to 8pm Tracy will be there at 530pm to set up, so if you are coming from work arrive early and enjoy complimentary tea, light snacks and time to visit. We will have printouts available but please bring your printouts if you have attended previous classes and bring questions if you have them. Alex is a local drummer that has been drumming for over 20 years. He has provided drumming at local renaissance fairs, belly dance shows, and drum circles. What will be covered in this session? Some new, some review it never gets old. Alex will be reviewing rhythms taught in previous sessions. The new: Combining the rhythms you know to challenge you. New rhythm:Chiftetelli As time allows we will move on to other Arabic Rhythms for dancers. Please bring a water bottle. No experience necessary. Registration is required, space is limited.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: There are no make up classes, students are responsible for their schedule. Classes do not roll over to the next session. If classes are canceled due to weather or the building closes, class will be made up at the end of the session at the same time and day. For Beginner classes if you are not happy after the first class you have 48 hours to contact me for a refund for the remaining of the classes and charged the drop in fee. There are no refunds for drop in classes, workshops, shows, mixed or beyond beginner classes, thank you for understanding and thank you for supporting my small business.
